SAG Awards 2012 Red Carpet: All The Best Dresses, Jewels & More!

Emma Stone In Alexander McQueen – 2012 SAG Awards

Emma Stone continues to be flawless on every red carpet she steps on.
For the 2012 SAG Awards, Emma went for a shorter hemline in a flirty tea-length Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2012 dress with an exploding lace bustier.
We so rarely see the young actress in black, but even in the dark colour, Emma evokes her signature fun and flirty persona.
Her Alexander McQueen accessories included black rose-accented heels and a skull and horse clasp clutch.
A red lippie and a sleek updo complete this vintage-inspired look.

Natalie Portman In Giambattista Valli Couture – 2012 SAG Awards

Natalie Portman posed for photographers in the press room at the 2012 SAG Awards this evening wearing a Giambattista Valli Spring 2012 Couture gown, which is already our second look from this collection which was presented last Monday.
Whilst her burgundy strapless silk chiffon gown with a bow detail on the bust is very elegant, she fails to breathe any life into it.
Even with the Harry Winston jewels and Judith Leiber glittering clutch the whole look feels quite lifeless.

Emily Blunt In Oscar de la Renta – 2012 SAG Awards

Emily Blunt took to the red carpet at the 2012 SAG Awards, wearing colour we saw a lot of during Couture Fashion Week: Green.
Her jade chiffon one-shoulder gown with a thigh-high split was from the Oscar de la Renta Resort 2012 collection loses its joie de vie on the red carpet.
A Swarovski clutch, statement jewelry and Jimmy Choo ‘Linda’ sandals accessorized her look.
I loved the coral lip colour, but the hairstyle was a tad matronly.

Angelina Jolie In Jenny Packham – 2012 SAG Awards

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt attended the 2012 SAG Awards in LA this evening.
Brad was decked out in a Balenciaga suit, whilst Angelina Jolie wore Jenny Packham.
She did look beautiful in this black liquid metallic draped front gown from the Fall 2011 collection, but I couldn’t be more bored.
I wish she would save this type of look for a premiere where we expect and accept it.
Award season is the only time we get to see her break out of her formulaic snoozeville all black mode, so I wish she would’ve indulged us on this occasion.
The only thing I loved about this look were her gold and black statement earrings.

Viola Davis in Marchesa – 2012 SAG Awards

Viola Davis attended the 2012 SAG Awards, where she is nominated in the ‘Best Actress’ category.
She wore a custom Marchesa gown for the occasion.
The white Grecian silk chiffon gown was embroidered with an antique gold detail along the sweetheart neckline.
This is not my favourite look from actress. In fact is my least favourite, especially with the messy, ‘windswept’ hair.
Let’s hope she bounces back to prime form in time for the Oscars.
Did you like this look, or do you think Viola was just trying too hard?

Amber Heard In Zac Posen – 2012 SAG Awards

Amber Heard hit the red carpet again this weekend, this time for the 2012 SAG Awards.
The blonde beauty wore a Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2012 black gown.
In true Amber style the dress was far from simple as it had many cut-outs on the shoulders and at the waist.
She styled her hair into an elegant updo with copper eye shadow and a nude lip colour.
H. Stern jewels accessorized her look.
