Kibaki orders Kenya Air Force to airlift ACCIDENT VICTIMS from Tanzania



Friday, August 10, 2012 - Reports trickling in indicate that President Kenya Mwai Kibaki has ordered the Kenya Air Force to disperse planes to Tanga Tanzania and airlift the victims of the accident to Nairobi for treatment.
The accident that occurred at 5.30 A.M. at Mandere area in Tanga claimed 11 women all members of women’s guild from Thika. Police in Tanzania have reported that at least 40 other people have been injured and are being attended to at local hospitals in the area.
Most of the victims are members of a P.C.E.A. church in Thika and were headed to Tanzania for a meeting. The victims were in two busses ferrying the Kenyans and officers say that the number of victims may go up as there are more victims trapped in the debris. A rescue mission is still ongoing.
Survivors said that one of the busses skid off the road and the second bus stopped. As they were helping the passengers of the first bus, a speeding lorry hit the stationary bus prompting it to fall on the other bus and crashing the passengers helping.
Reports indicate that there were 84 passengers though Kenyan police preliminary reports indicate that there were 80 passengers.
